Did you know we have three types of tern that use the Isle of Man to have their chicks and they all nest up at the Ayres? Meet the DEFA Biodiversity Warden who can tell you all about the Common Tern, Arctic Tern and Little Tern and, if the weather behaves, also try and spot them. We also have an additional species that regularly visits the Isle of Man, the Sandwich tern and a rare visitor, Roseate Terns!
Meet the DEFA Ayres Warden and learn about the four tern species regularly seen on the Isle of Man and how they live side by side on the Ayres NNR, followed by a tern watch from Manx Wildlife Trust’s view tower (weather dependant). For enquiries: ecopolicy@gov.im or 651577
