Make 2026 the year your Manx language journey starts! Join the Peel edition of Culture Vannin's FREE introductory Manx language workshops, which are taking place in all four corners of the Island on Saturday 26th September as part of Cooish Vooar Manx language festival: www.learnmanx.com/cooishvooar
Suitable for complete beginners, this fun, interactive session will focus on participants acquiring and practising useful words and phrases in a friendly, supportive environment, as well as learning about some of the background and history of Manx Gaelic. 'Blass Beg' means a 'a little taste' in Manx. You could then test out your newly acquired skills in one of the other festival events (25th - 29th Sept)!
The session will last for three hours; this includes a break. The event will be seated, but participants will be encouraged to move around during interactive activities, if they are able to.
Adults of all ages (and accompanied children 11+) are welcome! The session will take place in the St. Patrick's Isle Suite at the House of Manannan (accessed by a lift), and is within close reach of public transport.
No prior knowledge of Manx needed. Free event, but booking required.
